Supplement Dosage Recommendations

USA FDA recommends “600 IU/day, 800 IU/day for seniors”

Dr. Horlick recommends “1000 IU of vitamin D a day for children and 2000-3000 IU of vitamin D for adults.”

Linus Pauling Institute recommends 2000 IU.

Vitamin D Council recommends 5000 IU, with the goal of getting blood levels into the 40s.
